1. General risk warning

2. Leverage and margin

Leverage lets you control a large position with a small deposit. It magnifies profits and losses equally: with high leverage, a small price move against you can wipe out your margin very quickly.

If your account does not have enough margin, your positions may be closed automatically at a loss, and in fast markets the loss may be larger than expected.

3. Market volatility and gaps

Prices can move sharply and unpredictably, for example around news, economic data or when a market reopens. Prices can "gap" from one level to another without trading in between, so stop-loss orders may be executed at a worse price than you set.

4. Risks of specific products

• Futures and options: options can expire worthless, and futures positions can lose more than their margin.
• Commodities: prices react to supply, weather, geopolitical events and currency moves.
• Cryptocurrencies: extremely volatile, trade 24/7, and are affected by changing regulation.
• Forex and international markets: exchange-rate moves affect your returns, including on instruments priced in US dollars.
• US stocks and indices: trade during Indian evening and night hours and can move sharply at the open.

5. Liquidity

In quiet or stressed markets it may be difficult to open or close a position at the price you want, and spreads can widen.

6. Technology and connectivity

Trading online depends on your device, your internet connection and our systems. Outages, delays or errors may prevent you from placing, changing or closing orders at the right time.
